About Procemin-Geomet 2027
Procemin-Geomet is the International Conference on Mineral Processing and Geometallurgy, organised by Gecamin and held every year in Santiago, Chile. It is a technical forum where mining companies, engineering firms, equipment suppliers and universities review operating practice, plant performance and applied research in metallic and non-metallic mineral processing.
The 23rd edition takes place on11-13 August 2027àSheraton Santiago Hotel and Convention Center(1742 Avenida Santa Maria, Providencia, Santiago, Chile).
Programme scope
- Plenary lectures and parallel technical sessions on comminution, flotation, dewatering, tailings management, geometallurgy and process control
- Short courses and pre-conference technical activities, free of charge for registered conference attendees
- Poster sessions, including a dedicated student poster track
- Technical exhibition for equipment, reagents and engineering services
- Simultaneous interpretation in Spanish, English and Portuguese
- Publication of accepted papers in the conference proceedings
Track record
The 2026 edition (22nd) was held on 7-9 July 2026 at the same venue and brought together 770 delegates from 20 countries, with more than 130 presentations. Co-organising institutions include the University of Concepcion, Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria and the Norman B. Keevil Institute of Mining Engineering at the University of British Columbia.

Pre-sale registration with a 35% discount is open until 31 January 2027. Authors are invited to submit 3-6 page articles in English until 5 March 2027. The conference is aimed at mining professionals, plant and process engineers, geologists, researchers and technology providers.
