Upcoming MREA Meetings and Workshops in 2025-2026.
If you are planning to attend any meetings or workshops hosted by the Minnesota Rural Electric Association (MREA), it is a good idea to mark your calendar early and prepare ahead of time. Attending these events can be very helpful for anyone involved in electric cooperatives or interested in rural energy topics. Make sure to check the dates carefully so you don’t miss important sessions or chances to meet other members and experts.
The MREA has several important meetings and workshops planned from December 2025 through August 2026. It starts with the CFC Director Workshop on December 1-2, 2025, which is a statewide event for directors. Every other month, the MREA Board holds meetings to discuss important issues and make decisions. In January 2026, there are regional district meetings where members gather to share information and ideas. For example, District 1 meets on January 9, followed by the BLC Summit from January 13-15, which is a big event lasting several days. In the summer, several other district meetings take place in different locations to make it easier for members to attend closer to home. There is also a special Board Chair Roundtable meeting scheduled for August 4, 2026, which includes a CEO lunch. These meetings are great opportunities to learn about new developments in rural electrification, connect with others, and participate in decision-making processes that affect the cooperatives and communities. Remember to register early if required and plan your travel and accommodations in advance.
